Grumpy Google Heads On Groupon With Its Own Gooupons

in technology

Google wanted to buy the Groupon website.  It reminds of the wealthy neighbor who buys out the town.  But Groupon did not budge to the big brother.  What will Google do? It might launch its own Gooupon! Why can't? It has the might and the right.

According a news item published on CNN, Google is preparing to launch a coupon program through goolge. We would call it Gooupons.  CNN story seems to be from the Mashable.

The news cites "We have the documents to prove it -- one of our sources has sent us a confidential fact sheet straight from the Googleplex about the company's new group buying service."

"Google Offers is a new product to help potential customers and clientele find great deals in their area through a daily email," the fact sheet says.

CNN shows a mouth-watering picture of delicious Asian Indian platter with a 50 percent off coupon as an example.  If you see that coupon while searching online for school supplies for your children, you might rather just click on it and enjoy and postpone the supplies for another ocassion!  What does it mean for our Groupon store? The hard work that went in to create the customer base and brand goes down the drain... just close down!
